Mary recorded an outdoor concert, at Ilene White Freedman and Phil
Freedman's "House in the Woods" House Concerts, complete with high
digital fidelity, clapping crickets, singing cicadas and energized
audience. Andrew McKnight wore the headphones, and he lends his
beautiful harmonies and splendid guitar playing to the mix, too. The CD
captures a magical experience on a warm August evening on 25 acres of
farmland.
The new "live" CD, entitled "Live at House in the Woods," will help pave the
way for her 5th full-length recording, tentatively titled "Liberty," and
planned for release in 2001. This special, "limited edition" release
is only available at performances or by mail order. Both
"Live at House in the Woods" and next year's studio release will bring
the total to 6 independent releases to MBB's credit.
Bill Wolf, of Wolf Productions, contributed his professional expertise, brilliance and "golden" ears to the mastering process, and Oasis CD duplication company finished the job. Both Bill and Oasis have an impressive resume of experience. Bill worked on projects for legendary artists like The GratefulDead, Nancy Griffith, Tuck & Patty, Alison Krause, Johnny Cash, and Mary Chapin Carpenter, in addition to a host of great mid-Atlantic area performers. Oasis Duplication is simply the finest duplication company in the acoustic music industry, bar none; their extensive resume and high regard within the industry speak volumes.
Enjoy one magical summer evening from the second row. Your seat is being
held for you!
