Mary Byrd Brown is a nationally touring performing songwriter and vocalist from Annapolis, Maryland, with five albums, a host of critical acclaim and inspired fans to her credit. After nearly two decades as an independently managed artist, she continues to produce and distribute her own albums and continuously connect with new listeners on stages across the United States. In addition to her illustrious solo career, her performance resume sparkles with a diverse combo-platter of collaborative musical projects; from folk-jazz fusion with renowned jazz guitarists such as Rob Levit, to the community-oriented Annapolis Christmas project, to songwriting ventures with fellow folk artists and songwriters like Andrew McKnight. Mary also holds a first Friday of the month Split-Bill/Guest Artist Showcase at 49 West Coffeehouse, Winebar & Gallery in Annapolis, MD. Her first friday of the month concert at the coffeehouse is widely known as The Mary Byrd Brown Project, where she features a variety of top-shelf regional and national artists representing a spectrum of genre.

Mary was diagnosed with advanced Lyme Disease in May of 2002 after many years of struggle with various misdiagnosed immune-system related conditions that probably were Lyme disease all along. She has spent the last two years in an all-encompassing quest to get healthy and taking mandatory time off from the rigors of the road during her recovery.
